A few weeks ago I spent some time with ‘A Thyme to Dine’ chef Dylan Jonsson at the Cape Town Coffee & Chocolate show.
I started out with a balanced breakfast of insanely good brownies, Chocolate Smudge and Coffee Stout beer. Dylan has a passion for chocolate and he enjoys finding new ways to incorporate it in his cooking and more recently, beer!
Their newest product is a light beer called Perception. It’s a Chocolate and Citrus weißbier brewed with raw cacao and citrus zest and it’s light and easy drinking. They also have a stout which is dark and coffee infused, and definitely my favourite of the two, probably because I prefer heavier more intense beer.
I also had their various balsamic reductions, dipping some ciabatta bread in it, they are so tasty! My favourite was the Chilli-Choc one, but I can’t wait to try them all at home and put up some recipe posts! Our first one comes directly from Dylan… Delicious 2 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse.
Try it out and let me know how yours turns out!
